Designate a place in your house (most likely your bedroom, but it doesn’t have to be) that is Your Space. This can be anything from a stated rule (telling family members they are not allowed to enter without your express permission) or merely a mental decision. When you are in your place, decide that you are in a bubble and that none of the toxicity from your household can reach you there. It’s a kind of magical thinking that I’ve employed often, to great effect. Sometimes having your own space to decompress can help a lot with dealing with the outside world.
